With the increasing concentration of large storage and HPC facilities, either in Public or Private Clouds, moving data to and from the user’s desktop is getting more and more challenging. In this talk we’ll discuss why more and more often, companies move interactive jobs, including analysis, design and visualization tools, near the HPC resources.
We’ll show how NICE DCV enables this remote mode of operation, moving pixels in place of large files, thanks to the GPU resources now increasingly available in different kinds of virtualized environments.
