Identification of optimal runner and vacuum design through MAGMA simulation

Through the present work Teksid Aluminum wants to identify the best runner design for and vacuum system design for a new HPDC product, in order to have a rheological flow and minimizing the air entrainment.

In this study, we are going to see the evolution of the two design, guided by MAGMA simulation, using the velocity and the air pressure output, the more fitted for the study.

A special care have been taken for speed up the calculation time: the 3D model of the runner and vacuum gate was designed in order to fit the mesh MAGMA options, to have the smallest number of mesh block.
